If we really had free will… what would we do all day?

Conscious Robots suggests that we are failing to face up to the reality of being human. Whilst we insist on rigorous scientific principles in a court of law - or when building a Jumbo Jet - we reject science when analysing our own lives.

Conscious Robots will help you face up to the reality of being human. You might even have a better life… although probably not. We’ll show you why free will can’t exist, why we all think it does and what we’d do with free will if we had it. And why it’s so important that we start talking about it.

1) Free Will is impossible
Physics, neuro-chemistry and Darwinian evolution are incompatible with free will. (Do you have any evidence that free will exists? If so, click here.)

2) Why we think we have free will.
When we examine our personal experiences of “free will”, it’s fairly  easy to see why we think we’re in charge… when in reality we’re just doing what we’re told. Click here to see how you’ve been fooled.

3) If we really had free will
One day, we predict (and it’s all predetermined, so we should be able to predict it) some lucky humans will overcome their genetic programming and take control of their lives. It still won’t be free will, but it will feel just as good!
